WHO IS AN EMERGING LEADER?
An emerging leader is anyone with experience in independent schools who has an aptitude for leadership and a desire to take on greater responsibilities and/or new roles. Prepare to make a significant difference in your school and apply today!
PROSPECTIVE PARTICIPANTS
Aspiring Teacher Leaders, Department Chairs, Deans of Students, Deans of Faculty, Academic Deans, Assistant Division Directors, Division Directors and those in other leadership rolesin all areas of school life.
QUALIFICATIONS
Application, reference from Head of School or immediate supervisor, 5+ years in education
OUTCOMES
Outcomes are both theoretical and practical, and connected to best practices of leadership in action.
• Build transformational relationships with cohort members and presenters
• Learn how to lead teams as a listening and agile leader
• Develop skills and knowledge in core areas of school and organizational systems
• Reflect on your cultural journey and learn the importance of this work in our school communities
• Learn how to navigate difficult conversations
• Gain awareness and knowledge of how independent schools manage revenue and expenses
• Develop skills and learn frameworks to think strategically and give/receive feedback
• Become more aware of your leadership style and how you interact with others
• Have the opportunity to learn about leadership through the PAIS accreditation process
