PAIS serves as a strong and consistent voice for independent schools, representing their interests within the state legislature and the Department of Education. Acting as a vital liaison, PAIS works to ensure that the unique perspectives, needs, and contributions of independent schools are understood and considered. Through ongoing advocacy efforts, PAIS monitors proposed legislation, regulatory changes, and emerging issues that may impact member schools, helping to safeguard their autonomy while promoting policies that support educational excellence.

To keep member schools informed and prepared, the Executive Director regularly communicates timely and relevant updates on governmental affairs. These communications include legislative alerts, policy summaries, and guidance on how schools may be affected or how they can engage in advocacy efforts.
